I agree with the stand, but not just for the laptop, but all monitors. The 
20 inch I had 15 years ago, I put on a stand I built that raised it about 8 
inches. This put it so I could look straight at it all day long. No bending 
over, no looking down, straight out. This keep me sitting straight up, and 
my posture was much better. I know there are all these studies about so many 
degrees below the horizontal and all, but personal experience up to that 
time was that if I looked down, I tended to bend forward, until I was 
slumping toward the screen, both getting too close and bending my neck at 
weird angles.

Looking straight out, I could sit for hours at a time, never have a 
headache, neck ache, or tired blurry eyes from being too close.

Nothing scientific, just my experience. And I have done this for years. AT 
IBM in the late '80s, I had an old dead computer sitting on the good 
computer to raise the monitor up to a comfortable height and put something 
under the rear to angle the screen flat towards me. In some companies with 
no stands, I "borrow" a few reams of paper from the printer supply to raise 
the monitors.
