Are you absolutely positive all those qualify as appendices? Maybe the
content in some is close enough to the main trunk of the work that they
could logically be included as chapters, instead.

If they're not, think you need to think about restructuring the work as
multiple volumes, rather one book with a ridiculous number of appendices.
