Hi,

So, PDF came about partly because of print drivers mucking up layout. Using
the one Adobe PS driver instance ruled out issues with printer drivers
changing wrapping and layout.

I teach online. I run Mac OSX and Office for Mac and a VM that runs Windows
with Office for Windows. I've never seen the yellow-on-yellow type of
problem you saw. In general, for Word, DOCs and DOCXs seem to work fine
between the two platforms.

As an aside, when I was teaching in-person, I did have a college student
submit a 15-page report typed in all yellow ink because "their printer had
run out of black."

Cheers,

Sean
