Folks who've worked on wikis - please share your experiences around publishing product documentation as a wiki.

We are preparing to move our internal documentation for several groups to a SharePoint Wiki.
Note that this will not be used as a Wiki as such, just a place to publish docs for online viewing and use.
The documents are sourced in Word, ranging up to perhaps 100 pages. (when viewed in Word, as though they were to be PDF'd.
We're using Kaboodle in the publishing process, which handles some of the graphics posting and whatever.
Sorry for the vagueness, but I'm farther from that part of it than I'd prefer.

This will be quite interesting. It shows promise, and it looks like the workflow and presentation will both work ok.
Given the intended use, it may not matter how good SharePoint's Wiki is 'as a Wiki'.
cheers
Jay
