If you want a laptop that runs all day and never gets warm, then go with an industrial laptop like Dell Latitude. It's a giant heat sink. One of my Dell Latitude laptops lasted 7 years before the video chip went thermal.
I made the mistake of buying my daughter a consumer laptop. After an hour of use, you could fry an egg on it. It self-destructed a day after the warranty ran out. She replaced it with a Dell Precision.

Subject: Re: Windows 10 or not? (possibly OT)
âDumb question: Microsoft and Adobe seem to be pushing the online versions of Office etc. Can I assume that I'll still be able to install/use Office
2007 or 2010 as well as other apps like Dreamweaver, etc? â
And also if not too off topic, if you were to purchase a new laptop or
2-in-1 to run Win10 on, what would you recommend? What would you NOT recommend?
