In my experience it's no worse than any other MS Office release since
they replaced menus with ribbons. It's not online, the local install
is over 2GB.

I primarily use LibreOffice for editing spreadsheets and the
occasional .doc file, and use MS Office only for PowerPoint and
occasional tasks where Excel or Word have some advantage.
