Source control in Flare is pretty much a pushbutton thing, and the toughest thing about it is finding the URL for the TFS repository. Once you enter that, you're done. Everything else is buttons/commands in the Flare interface.
Sounds like it won't be that simple in FrameMaker. I've used things like TortoiseSVN in the past, so I'm familiar with source control off line.
But first I have to figure out the cleanest way to get the thing into the repository, although I suppose I'll just be uploading the files through Visual Studio.
I'm a little new to the developer side of things, so maybe I can just do the source control through VS (2015 Pro)?
I'll get there. Thanks for any additional help and advice, from the techie folks on this list. :)

I'll add that, as with any VCS, FrameMaker's binary files are going to consume vast quantities of storage, compared to ASCII (text) files. If you can script a process (or edit FM's controls) that makes it easy to always save as MIF, you will save storage (only diffs get checked in) and you will be able to merge if necessary (with all the varied success that comes with, e.g., nothing easily merges two conflicting edits of the same content or object reference like an image file name).

Hi,
Anybody know of a way to use FrameMaker (unstructured) with Team Foundation Server?
We are storing MadCap Flare projects in TFS but I want to start putting FrameMaker projects there too.
Thanks for any advice.
