Unfortunately, I am not much of a Word expert and my wife has a problem I know nothing about.
She's a proofreader and wants to add some 2-character combinations to the dictionary (": and [:P and ]. they are used as some sort of tagging method).
Adding them to her dictionary doesn't stop spellcheck from hitting them, and when it does it doesn't have an "ignore" or "add" option. All of which leads me to believe that the dictionary won't allow such characters to considered "words".
Am I guessing right?
