Thought I'd resurface an old thread because this topic came up in
conversation. Has anyone moved forward on using this software after 3
years? In my present role I use Camtasia and Snagit on Windows. I recently
purchased both apps for Mac through a bundle, so I got them at a really
good deal. I am looking eventually to upgrade Camtasia to 9, as the license
is good for both Mac and Windows platforms. The bonus is that I can switch
files between both systems (but I think earlier file versions need to be
upgraded to v9).

The one bug I have about Camtasia is that it is incapable of using relative
folder names for its video assets. When you archive a project into a zip
file, all the assets are copied from whatever source location into the
current folder along with the .camproj document. I've mentioned this on
forums and in twitter and have yet to receive a response from Techsmith
about this. That's the only thing keeping me from dropping $100 USD to
upgrade my applications at home.

But... if Movavi proves to be a worthwhile investment I would be willing to
go that route.

So... share your experiences if you have any, or if you shied away, share
that info too.

Thanks,

-Tony
