A flyer is a marketing piece. There you can be looser with rules to accommodate aesthetics.

Subject: about use of single bullets
Soliciting your opinions (or declaration of practice)...
I know the style rule of thumb not to use a bullet for a single item.
However for a two page flyer, I have several subheaders with multiple
items bulleted -- except for the first one which has only one item. I
have this [single] bulleted too, and from an aesthetic (lining up the
item over the other bulleted items in the other sections; subliminal
appearance) it looks good. But I could of course remove the bullet
from the orphan item and align its first letter on its line at the same
point as to where the bullets below it are aligned. But the slight
formatting difference would stand out.
Opinions?
Vincent
