I realize you asked for online sources about using Word in depth, but I would recommend getting hold of a book as well. Online sources are great for answering specific questions, and Shauna Kelly's site is superb at that and also providing some general background.

But if you want a coherent picture of what Word does, along with a conceptual foundation - get a book. I don't know what version of Word you're using, but there are books for all of them. Word 2016 for Professionals For Dummies (yes, that's the real title) by Dan Gookin, is good and concentrates on the deeper features. Faith Wempe's Word in Depth books have been useful to me. If you're using older versions, Word Annoyances (either the one for 2007/2010 or the earlier one) can be a revelation.
