The post does say "specific" technical writing skillset. What does "specific" mean? It could be something like automotive technology where the technical editors are required to have automotive mechanical experience to edit automotive content. ALLDATA's (they like caps) description for Technical Editor III wants this, "The ability to leverage technology to enable publication of automotive content into ALLDATAâs market leading products is required." A friend of mine had that job and he didn't do any writing.

I found the job description you mentioned and that one sounds like a nightmare. "Ability to accept feedback from multiple sources and work through ambiguities is critical."
