That's just incorrect hyphenation, imo. Sure, fine, it's behaving as a compound adjective; but I've committed to non-breaking space separators for unit::unit of measure pairs, and I'm never going back.See if word flags that combo...?David[DCA:d.a.d.]

My employer has recently been switching us all over to Win 10 andOffice 365. I am struggling to find all of the same efficiencies I hadwit Win 2010, but that isn't why I am writing today. What I have noticed in Word 365 is that it flags a grammar erroranywhere a hyphen might be inserted, e.g., it wants to make "Fill a 1L beaker with xyz" into "Fill a 1-L beaker with xyz". I am a littleconcerned that this would confuse people working in a laboratoryenvironment, where my docs are used for mixing up various compounds,as they have not seen this before in our Procedures, as far as I cantell. While not incorrect, I view such hyphens as optional, based onpersonal preference. There are certainly times when hyphens makesense, since they can clarify meaning.
