I just stumbled across the Google "Season of Docs" program. It appears to be a call for Technical Writers to assist Open Source projects, with a stipend involved.

Any thoughts on this opportunity?

On one hand, it acknowledges the importance of (and difficulty in!) creating good documentation. On the other hand, it is asking writers to lend their hand at discounted rates. So I'm cautiously optimistic. Your thoughts?Â
