Group,
Several job recruiters I've heard from lately say their clients want someone with Microsoft Visio experience. Unfortunately, my last employer (where I was for 9 and 1/2 years) was China-based and extremely "frugal" (major cheap), and refused to fund updates to our software tools and even learn new ones. For example, while the rest of the FrameMaker community was already in the mid-teens version, we remained with FrameMaker 10 (which did work, but still . . . ).
I had dabbled with a trial version of MS Visio some years ago on my own, but now I can't find any trial versions available unless you buy a suite of stuff from MS. I told one recruiter I'd be glad to download the open office version of Visio, but nope, their client wanted experience with the real thing.
Am I SOL or does anyone have an extra legitimate copy they no longer need?
