I'd say it depends on where you live. My understanding is that those who
work in Silicon Valley can command more.

But elsewhere, the last std. base contract rate I was aware of was around
$42/hour most anywhere else in the US.

Get busy on LinkedIn; it's well worth your while if you diligently work it.
