I am doing a small tech writing project at home and need to purchase a modem.
I have a Data General 286 PC, and I would like to get a 2400 baud modem. (I use
DOS, of course.) Can anyone recommend a brand of modem, best place to
purchase, and estimated price? (Mail order is preferred.) Also, I'm not much
of a computer expert--could I install it myself?
I also have to share a line with a fax machine--will this be a problem?
Thanks!
Jamie
