Yeah, Chet, It's beginning to look that way.

The "School of Hard Knocks" is giving way to "Ivy
Covered Walls." Although many employers advertise
that they will accept "equivalent experience,"
most seem to prefer the degree to the 6 or more
years of experietial equivalence.

My experience has been that the individual makes
the difference during the interview. The applicant
has to overcome the hurdle of degree preference.

So, experience still sells, it's just a harder sell.
