The conference day begins at 7:30 a.m. with registration and a
continental breakfast. The sessions begin at 8:30 a.m. Speakers

The conference ends at 5:00 p.m. with a cash bar chatting session,
where you can relax with friends and enjoy light hors d'ouevres.
The cost of the conference is $45.00 for members and non-members
and $15 for students and retired STC members.
Registration Information
Conference Brochures will be mailed to all Region 2 STC members in
early September. To register for the conference, fill out the
registration card in the brochure and return it to the address
indicated. If you are not an STC member and would like to receive
a brochure or register for the conference, please respond
directly to me. If you responded to my earlier announcement about
the Region 2 conference, there is no need to respond again.
Hotel Information
The hotel is located at 2660 Woodley Road, at the corner of
Connecticut Avenue and Woodley Road in Northwest Washington DC.
The hotel is less than a block away from the Woodley Park Metro
station on the Red Line of Washington's MetroRail system.
Directions will be sent with your registration confirmation.
A small block of rooms has been reserved for attendees who wish to
arrive the night before the conference or stay in Washington the
evening following the conference. Special room rates are as
follows:
Single or Double: $89.00
Each room is subject to District of Columbia sales tax of 11% and
an occupancy tax of $1.50.
Please make your sleeping room reservations directly with the
hotel by calling (202) 328-2900. Mention that you are attending
the STC Region 2 conference to get the special rate. To ensure
rates and availability, please make your reservations by
September 22, 1993. The hotel has many other functions happening
the weekend of the Region 2 conference, and neither the STC nor
the hotel can guarantee room availability after that date.
