I think the military may be to responsible for the popular
use of all CAPS. 24 Years ago when I first joined
the Navy I encountered my very fist "Communication" typewirters.
Needless to say that it had only capital letters. All
military telecommunications, up to the advent of Electronic mail
used only capital letters. To this day I have to be very
careful when I use capital letters.
