Subject: Newsgroup posters, heads up!

If you didn't know: bitnet.listserv.techwr-l, or whatever the exact name is,
is gatewayed with techwr-l mailing list; they are essentially two ways to
receive and transmit to and from the same medium (what you'd call that
medium, I have no idea -- infospace?).

When you post to the newsgroup and fail to attach a signature, or at least
an e-mail address for yourself, those of us who get the postings via mail
have NOT A CLUE who you are; all that's listed in the From: field is
TECHWR-L. Not real helpful for establishing direct e-mail contact with a
kindred spirit. Since most Net-connected folks check their mail more often
than they scan the newsgroup, direct-mailing will usually get you in touch
with X, Y, or Z sooner than reply-posting to the group and hoping they'll
see it sometime soon.

Please, please, PLEASE remember to clearly identify yourself in your
postings! Remember: if someone can help you, but they can't reach you, it's
your loss...
