TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Speaking about page numbers changing when information is added (and that
it is easier when only one chapter's numbers are affected)...
Whenever a page number is changed, you have to be careful of internal
refereces (See page 5-8) being correct. Although software will often
update the TOC and index, internal references probably have to be
updated by the writer.
We've probably all seen manuals with this error.
If you have software that will update internal references or if you
know of a way to do this in Pagemaker 5.0/win (what I use), please
speak up.

It's is not, it isn't ain't, and it's it's, not its, if you mean it is.
If you don't, it's its. Then too, it's hers. It isn't her's. It isn't
our's either. It's ours, and likewise yours and theirs.
