re: using quotation marks for emphasis, such as
100% "real" beef hamburgers
and
We're having a "sale"!
and
"Free" estimates

These always give me a laugh! I tend to take them as
meaning maybe-it-is-and-maybe-it-isn't!

I really shouldn't poke fun, though. My grandmother
writes things like the following in letters: "You are
very 'special' to me!" :-) !
