Our marketing people will not allow such a thing. I think OSHA
(Occupational Safety & Health Admin. or something) has official
standards for these--something like:

Caution - follow instructions or your equipment may be damaged
Warning - follow instructions or may be injured
Danger - follow instructions or you may be seriously injured or die

You may be thinking of ANSI Standards. Of course, I cannot remember the number
or the exact citation, but Charles Kemnitz wrote an article in Tech Comm about
the ANSI standard and hazard alert messages. I believe it was Vol 38, No 1, but
am not quite sure. If you are interested, I'll check and post the exact
citation.
