Thanks very much for your reply to Andreas. I am in the process of
scouting for a PC platform to do VR stuff on. Most VR stuff for PCs
done on DOS machines and yet the Mac line (although apparently under-
powered) has the strong integration of hardware/software for graphics
that makes the difference between getting something that works or
something that puts you into a labyrinth of frustration, vendor calls,
and busy signals from help lines. The computer industry is NOT
user friendly. Apparently about 50% of the CD ROM market is full
of VERY FRUSTRATED users for all the reasons you cite. Each DOS
platform is UNIQUE. Open systems without standarization which result
in chronic background chaos.
