No one has yet spoken out in favor of "performant". (I think
"Good God" was the most positive reaction.) I will attempt
to stop this neologism before it spreads.

Incidentally, I looked up "neologism" in my dictionary and found

"1. A newly coined word, phrase, or expression.
2. A meaningless word or phrase coined or used by a psychotic."

I just thought you'd find that interesting, and perhaps even relevant
to the discussion. ;->
