Subject:Any Ventura Users Out There? From:Barb Miller <millerb -at- TCPLINK -dot- NREL -dot- GOV> Date:Fri, 23 Sep 1994 13:39:08 MST
John Russell wanted to know if there were other Ventura users on the
list. I'm not a user, but our Graphics department is.
The department has both Macs and PCs, and it was decreed years ago
that ALL publications done in-house would be on Ventura. However,
we've been having some software compatibility problems with our
printing contractor. Although he can handle Ventura, he is more
familiar with QuarkXpress on the Mac, which is the bulk of his work.
We also have a problem finding people experienced with Ventura to
contract out to when we are overloaded (we only have two people
handling publications).
Therefore, the Graphics manager is seriously thinking of moving to
Quark on the PC or Mac or replace the PCs with PowerPCs.
