So, who's to say you can't leave the jacket and tie in the car? Unless you
usually wear jeans and dirty tee-shirts so that dress slacks and a shirt
with a collar would also be a give-away.

Hypothetically: If I don't usually wear a suit to work and I'm going on a
job interview, it would be a real red flag to show up in a suit one day. So,
I'd probably have to interview in my "regular" work clothes.

Would this be a acceptable?
