1995 Writer in the Workplace Conference Call for Papers

(SACRAMENTO, CA) Technical writers, educators, and other communications
professionals in the technical industry are invited to submit proposals
for presentation at the 1995 Writer in the Workplace Conference by
November 5, 1994.

The Writer in the Workplace: Blazing New Trails, the eighth annual
conference, will be held Saturday, March 11, 1995, at American River
College in Sacramento, California. This year's conference theme reflects
the continual rapid changes occurring in technical communications
environments. The keynote speaker will be Ben Dominitz, President and
founder of Prima Publishing, the world's largest publisher of video and
game books. Mr. Dominitz will discuss Prima Publishing's collection of
computer productivity and reference titles. Featured conference stems are:
New Technologies, Clear Writing and Communication, and Professional
Issues.

The Writer in the Workplace Conference is presented annually by the
Sacramento
Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication and American River
College.
Both STC members and non-members are invited to present and attend.

STC is a professional organization dedicated to education and advancement
of technical communicators and has over 18,000 members and 125 chapters
worldwide. STC members include writer,s editors, managers, educators,
students, consultants, graphic designers, and audio visual specialists.
