'Might' vs. 'may'

The problem I find is that it's never clear whether to use 'can'
or 'may'. The way around that is to always try to use 'might'
instead... and if 'might' is clearly the wrong term, use 'can'.

So 'can' is used in contexts implying permission _or_ ability,
and 'might' is used in contexts implying that something is
a good idea ('you might want to...') or that you should watch
out for things that might happen.
