The University of Wisconsin's WisView Network uses audiographic
teleconferencing to provide education at a distance. The university can
deliver this practical course for technical professionals to conference
rooms and public agencies throughout the world.
This 3-credit course focuses on developing quality writing and speaking
skills for real-world situations. Written assignments will help you learn
how to plan, prepare, and critique a variety of reports and business
letters. You will also practice making oral presentations of written
reports. The course lectures and discussions will cover different writing
techniques, styles, and presentation formats.
Upon completion of this course, you will know how to
o organize, prepare, and draft memos, proposals, and engineering reports
ouse the research tools found in a modern scientific/technical library,
including CD-ROM databases and on-line catalogs.
