The Society for Technical Communication will award scholarships for
the 1995-96 academic year. The Society has increased the number of
scholarships from 12 to 14 (7 graduate and 7 undergraduate). Each
scholarship is for $2,000 (U.S.) Details follow.

Society for Technical Communication Scholarships
------------------------------------------------

Purpose

To assist students who are pursuing established degree programs
in some area of technical communication.

Eligibility

Full-time graduate students working toward a Master's or Doctor's
degree in technical communication.

Full-time undergraduate students having upperclass standing in a
two- or four-year degree program in technical communication.
Freshmen may apply if they will be sophomores during the 1995-96
academic year.

(Note: Candidates must be enrolled in a degree program for the
entire duration of the academic year to be considered full-time
students.)

Scholarship Awards

Fourteen awards of $2,000 (U.S.) each will be grated. Seven
awards are reserved for undergraduate students and seven are
reserved for graduate students.

Application Deadline

Applications must be received no later than FEBRUARY 15, 1995.

Announcement of Recipients

Notification will be made by mail no later than APRIL 15, 1995.
