Since the last time we wrote to you, we have made major additions in both
World/Government and Literature.
AREA & COUNTRY HANDBOOKS -- We have retrieved Ethiopia: A Country Study
from the Library of Congress Web server and have converted it from html
back to plain text This is a comprehensive, up-to-date book-length study
available on one disk. We will very shortly offer the U.S. Army Handbooks
on China, Egypt, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Somalia,
South Korea, and Yugoslavia. This will be a lot of work. Please let us know
your interests, and we'll set our priorities accordingly.
UN -- We have added Resolutions of the 48th General Assembly (2 disks)
and Security Council Resolutions 1994.
ENGLISH LITERATURE -- Richard Bear of the University of Oregon has provided
us with scholarly editions of The Shepheardes Calendar by Edmund Spenser,
Defence of Poetry by Philip Sydney, Pamphilia to Amphilanthus by Lady
Mary Wroth, The Beggar's Opera by John Gay, Prose & Poetry by Lady
Mary Wortley Montagu, Lyrical Ballads by Wordsworth and Coleridge,
and A Shropshire Lad by A.E. Houseman. These etexts include his annotations,
bibliography, etc. We hope that other scholars will follow his example and
make their work available in the public domain.
