Well we've already seen the two-part, three-part, and flexible
keyboards--can "heads-up display" monitors be that far off. I'd love it!

I remember a device called "Private Eye" which was basically a 1-inch monitor
mounted on a headband. It obscured only a small portion of your vision, but
functioned much like a heads-up display. Also, LCD technology has also been used
in a pair of glasses to display information against a semi-transparent
background (lens changes to fully transparent when computer was disengaged). It
was similar technology to the "electric windows" I've seen in some home
automation ads which use LCD technology to make windows opaque -- sort of
instant privacy panels.

The Private Eye made you look like RoboCop, the glasses like Buddy Holly. But
it's a start.
