Global Village Communication is seeking several contract Production Editors
for short contracts during December.
The following knowledge/skills are required:
% Macintosh System 7.x
% FrameMaker 4.0 for Macintosh (must be an advanced user)
% Adobe Photoshop 2.5.x (intermediate to advanced user)
% MacPaint/SuperPaint (intermediate to advanced user)
Sucessful candidates will use their skills to perform final, pre-press
reviews of FrameMaker files for new Global Village manuals. Work will
include the following:
% Ensuring the correct use of page layout and FrameMaker formats (based on
the Global Village style guide)
% Adjusting the appearance of graphics and callouts
% Modifying graphics using MacPaint/SuperPaint or Photoshop
% Final check for correct spelling in all files
% Final generation of TOC and index files
% Final formatting of TOC and index files
% Proofreading
