It is the French that confuses me, but I didn't know the 'network' meaning.

Does the dictionary indicate whether this is a countable noun or not?
It's been uncountable for me for nearly 15 years and I despise the
countable usage. But then I also despise the spelling of 'a lot' as
one words. And then I think of the poor ewt, whose name changed due to
its singularity.... ('an ewt' -> 'a newt')
