Co-operative Education Position Available:
Assistant Technical Editor for Redbooks
GENERAL INFORMATION
Redbooks are highly technical books produced by the International Tech-
nical Support Organization for advanced IBM professionals and customers.
More than 200 redbooks are written each year by systems engineers, not
professional writers, who come from over 40 countries to work with the
new products and then write about their experiences for their peers.
All books are written in BookMaster and formatted by BookManager for
CD-ROMs. Because the writers are here for only eight weeks, many of
the tasks--including indexing, problem solving, and constructing elements
such as tables and figures--remain when the writers leave. It is the
editor's job to support the completion of the books.
