On Demand Printing

My company is thinking about purchasing a server-based,
on-demand digital printer (something along the lines of
Xerox Docutech, Kodak LionHeart, etc.) as an alternative
to outsourcing print jobs.

Does anyone have any experience on how easy (or not so
easy) it is to "plug and play" with these systems? We're
using FrameMaker on Macs on a Novell network to create
