One of my clients needs to fill two part-time (government contract)
training positions (each requiring 20 hours/week) in Fort Collins, CO.
They are not "technical writing" positions, but I think technical writing
skills would certainly be useful.

Here is the information I have:

POSITION: Technical Information Specialist for providing
research/development/coordination assistance for Management Assistance
Team clearinghouses, success story publications, Ecosystem Partnering
learning package, current project coordination and reporting, and new
project development.

BACKGROUND: The Management Assistance Team (MAT) has developed two story
publications and development of new success story publications is desired.
Creating a clearinghouse for this information is planned. MAT will be
developing a learning package for the Ecosystem Partnering project and
research; technical and logistical support is needed. Coordination and
reporting on current MAT projects is needed as well as research related to
new project development.

CONTRACTOR TASKS:
1. Follow up on and coordinate success story descriptions for
inclusion in future publications.
2. Provide information and technical/logistical support to project
leader as needed to assist in development of Ecosystem Partnering
learning package.
3. Assist with developing information clearinghouses.
4. Coordinate ongoing project tasks, prepare project briefings,
and assist with proposals for new projects.
5. Assist project leaders in arranging, synthesizing, classifying,
and providing access to information on process to state fish and
wildlife agencies and other clients of the Management Assistance
Team.

POSITION: Training Specialist (Non-ADP) to coordinate delivery of MAT's
training courses, develop success story learning packages, assist in
developing new training courses, coordinate/report on current projects,
and assist with new project development

BACKGROUND: The Management Assistance Team has developed and assisted
with the presentation of meetings management courses to state fish and
wildlife agencies and this will continue in FY95. MAT has also put
together one success story tape/workbook/teleconference, and similar
products are desired. A training specialist is needed to assist in
developing, to coordinate the tasks associated with meetings management
course presentation and success story learning packages.

CONTRACTOR TASKS:
1. Act as course coordinator for meetings management and other
training courses.
2. Assist in developing expanded versions of success stories into
learning packages to communicate successful processes and efforts
from one state to others, and developing training courses.
3. Coordinate ongoing project tasks, prepare project briefings, and
assist with proposals for new projects.
4. Assist project leaders in arranging, classifying, and providing
access to information on management processes to state fish and
wildlife agencies and other clients of the Management Assistance
Team.

Both positions may require travel to out-of-town sites to conduct
research or to attend meetings/training courses.
