Rhonda,
I'm afraid that I haven't got a clue on where you could find
such information. There may be some historical archives
maintained at the Pentagon, or possibly personnel archives at
the Army Personnel Center. In any event, that type of
information would probably have to be obtained through the
Freedom of Information Act.

Here are some possible starting points for you. I don't know
any of these people--I just pulled their names off a chart.
I have no idea how or if they can help you:

Public Affairs Office
U.S. Army Intelligence Center and Fort Huachuca
ATTN: ATZS-PA (Francine Biere)
Fort Huachuca, AZ 85613-6000

or

Military Historian
U.S. Army Intelligence Center and Fort Huachuca
ATTN: ATZS-MH (James Finley)
Fort Huachuca, AZ 85613-6000

Please note that these types of positions are usually local;
i.e., this military historian is probably just the historian for
his organization/command. He is not the historian for the entire Army!
But maybe they can point you in the right direction.

My first project is researching for a documentary on a woman who,
according to an old newspaper article, "served as a special agent
with the government military intelligence division during WWI,"
which is why I thought you might be able to help me.
I was wondering if it is possible to access old military archives
to find out what role this woman played during the war. She was
the first licensed architect in the state of Pennsylvania, so I'm
curious as to what her function might have been.
