Thanks to all who responded to my query about an Internet connection at
home. I am happy to report I can now FTP and browse the web without
somebody holding my hand, and I'm still emailing like there's no tomorrow.
I am going to try Telnet and newsgroups tonight. My ham radio friends are
probably wondering where I went. For those who are wondering, I signed up
with a local provider (1 hr./day ) at $5 per month. Definitely my price
range.

Thanks for the many responses on my Dilbert cartoon proclamation. About
half of you thought the cartoon wasn't funny, and about a fourth thought it
was derisive of women and/or tech writers. The rest of you told me to
lighten up. My wife and daughters told me to lighten up a lot . My sons
told me to quit reading so much and come shoot some hoop. An attorney
friend told me to count my blessings. So that's what I'm going to do.

The trouble with my sense of humor is not enough dynamic range. I like the
Three Stooges, Dan Quayle and Gary Larson, but I'm not sensitive enough to
pick up on stuff down in the noise level.
