About a decade ago I worked for a company that had a contract with
the National Association of Securities Dealers to prepare an SGML
Document Type Definition for one of their publications. I wrote
the SGML DTD. But since that was nothing but an empty structure
in which text would be placed, I needed some sample text to use in
a demonstration copy for review. They couldn't provide me with
anything but a sample page. So I wrote my own text. And I made it
funny. The reviewers from NASD loved it! And so began my career as
a sit-down comedian....
