I had a lot of problems with FM 4.0 resource usage on a PC with a generous
supply of RAM (24MB). It would perform quite well for an hour or two, and,
as I performed multiple copy-and-pastes, or added graphics, it got slower
and slower. I mitigated the problem by setting up a permanent swap file,
but it never went entirely away.

I don't know if this is a GDI problem or memory management (or in fact if
they are the same thing), but on my shiny new Pentium 90 the problem never
occurs.
