Beginning of article:
How Did I Do?

Do you receive feedback about what you write? Would you like to? Here is your
chance to let your peers tell you how you did.

Keep reading to see how you can enter the Region 6 technical publications
competition. If you enter, you will receive copies of the judges evaluations.
What better feedback can you get than the judgment of your peers?

Publication categories include promotional brochures, quick reference guides,
software and hardware guides, annual reports, newsletters, magazines, scholarly
articles, trade/news articles, technical reports, and books. Judges critique the
entries on

" Writing
" Editing
" Design and graphics
" Integration

Judges may give four levels of award in each publication category

" Distinguished Technical Communication
" Excellence
" Merit
" Achievement

Judges may also award one Best of Show. Publications receiving the Distinguished
Technical Communication award will be submitted to the 1996 STC International
Publications Competition.

The deadline for entries is **June 13, 1995**. All STC members in Region 6 will
receive an entry packet shortly.

For more information or an entry packet, call Norman Lambert (314) 962-8186.
