With regard to Shakespeare's "the most unkindest cut" phrase,
Mark Levinson notes that a variant appears in another publication:

** On the other hand, I just saw a Land's End catalog in which
The Kindest Cut appears on the front cover, trademarked, in
reference to the company's swimsuits.

To which I respond: Yes, but the catalog does NOT say "the most
kindest cut". I guess Land's End wanted to allude to Shakespeare
without becoming ungrammatical.
