***Position Available for Technical Communicator***

Materials Research Corporation, Congers, New York
a manufacturer of semiconductor equipment
has a permanent position available for a Technical Communicator.

Candidates must have:
* Excellent English composition skills
* Strong research skills (both written materials and interviews)
* Ability to use a Windows-based, networked PC and (re)configure
hardware peripherals such as modems, tape back-ups, CD ROM reader
and writer, video capture board, scanners, printers, etc.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, schematics
* Excellence with FrameMaker DeskTop publishing software (or equivalent)
ability to create and comply with defined paragraph styles
ability to auto number, make cross references, use variables and
generate book and toc files
ability to import and modify files and graphics and
ability to format pages and apply existing formats to imported material
ability to use Frame drawing tools to create illustrations
* Awareness of ISO 9000 standards

Preferred consideration will be given to candidates who have:
* Extensive experience with computer graphics
ability to create line art from Engineering drawings, rough sketches,
photo's and/or visual inspection
ability to convert above line art to various other formats
ability to create isometric, 3d or exploded view drawings from above
materials
ability to render animations a plus
* Experience with electronic imaging, such as video stills, photo CD
* Experience with Visual Basic or high-end hypermedia
authoring tool (requiring the use of a scripting language)
