ARINC Incorporated is seeking a part-time Technical Writer/Editor for
our regional offices in Georgia and Florida. The position will be
based in our Warner Robins, GA, office.

The primary responsibilities are as follows:

- Edit, reorganize, rewrite, and produce technical documents and
proposals prepared by engineering staff.

- Plan, organize, write, and produce printed and online software
documentation.

- Work with engineering staff at any stage of document development
process, performing various functions as required, including answering
grammar and style questions; developing and reviewing outlines;
ensuring incorporation of final review changes; and performing quality
control function on final documents.

- Consult with manager on corporate style and ensure that documents
produced meet applicable customer or company style and format
requirements.

- Track progress of documents through the production process and
maintain library of published documents.


The qualified candidate will possess the following:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in technical communication,
technical writing, English, journalism, or other related discipline.

- Minimum of five years of applicable experience.

- Excellent editing skills and written and oral communication
skills.

- Experience in creating online help for computer systems.

- Knowledge of engineering terminology and computer systems.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word for Windows and WordPerfect for DOS.
