I discovered an interesting use for eyeglasses during a recent solar
eclipse. You're not supposed to look directly at an eclipse, but if
you're wearing glasses with circular lenses, you cancome pretty close.
Simply hold the glasses up so that they point at the sun, and project
its image onto a piece of dull cardboard or patch of smooth ground.
The result is a really nice moving picture as the eclipse progresses,
and one that several people can watch at once.

Warning: Stay a safe distance from the projected image, because it can
still be bright enough to hurt your eyes if you cast it onto a highly
reflective surface.
