Hmmmm, maybe then its regional. I've been here since 85 and anyone I've
heard talk about the said symbol (both north and south of the 49th), have
referd to it as the "pound" sign. Not only 'puter geek types like me, but
office personell aswell. I am also being told that it is a fall out from
Telco's. Unless of course, that is a weird regional thing to. :)I bet if
you started docuumenting it as something different, eventually you would
start hearing people say "that's what I know it as". :)
