Several STC chapters sponsor annual technical publication competitions.
Winners of the local competitions participate in the international
competition. Winners in both cases are determined through peer review by a set
of judges.
Have any chapters developed their own set of guidelines for 1) qualifying and
selecting judges for these competitions, and 2) guidelines for conducting the
judging process? Does anyone know if the STC, itself, has proposed any such
guidelines?
If one wanted to develop a set of judging guidelines by soliciting
thoughts/ideas/suggestions from STC members and any interested parties who
would care to contribute, I'm not so sure the techwr-l list would be an
appropriate location for the activity. Thoughts or comments on any of the
above?
